Concept, design and building permit application for two loft conversions on a former military complex of buildings with more than 6,000m2 of total living space.

Entire design and planning for the conversion of two lofts belonging to residential objects in the Arsenal, Vienna. Each of these lofts has approx. 3,000m2 of floor space. 32 residential units will be built, each with more than one outdoor area. The reddish-brown brick facades give this listed ensemble a romantic flair. Each living room has direct access to a terrace or loggia, which may face the courtyard or look onto the street. Despite the strict provisions in terms of monument protection, it was possible to incorporate the attractive outdoor spaces optimally in the roof’s design.
