Redefinition and rebranding of a&o Hostels; redesign of the existing hostels and hotels; development of the corporate design and implementation in all new hostels and hotels

a&o Hostels is Europe’s largest hostel operator with over 30 locations in several countries. BWM Architekten, in cooperation with moodley brand identity, were responsible for its complete rebranding. The new design will be implemented in the existing hostels, and all future locations will be based on the newly developed CD manual, which lays down the design guidelines for the rooms as well as for the public areas such as the lobby and breakfast room, and for the façade and courtyard. BWM are also expanding a&o’s furniture repertoire with their specially designed high-quality products such as bunk beds and robust seating furniture for the lobby. The new design aims to appeal to groups and individual travellers alike, while remaining committed to the brand’s essence. In line with its motto, “Everyone can travel”, a&o offers the cheapest accommodation on the market.
