Design of a terrace for an existing restaurant in the portico of a historical building; extension of the garden to hold 142 seats; concept for a winter lounge
BWM Architekten completely redesigned the outdoor area of the restaurant in the former stables of Esterházy Castle in Eisenstadt, which is considered one of the best on the square. The atmosphere is as fresh as an English spring rain, but with a light Mediterranean breeze. The guest garden now consists of a three-part seating and lounge concept, extending from the portico under the historic arches into the open-air garden. The materials (brass or terrazzo in grey) underline the restrained, distinguished overall impression.
