BWM Architekten impressed the judges of a prestigious competition in Eisenstadt with their elaborate concept for a 120-room hotel and an urban development zone directly on the city’s famous Schlossplatz. This new residential quarter, located in the heart of Eisenstadt, contains 91 flats that were designed with a wide range of age groups in mind – first and foremost, however, for young families. Despite maximum utilisation of the possible density standard / cubature, BWM were able to realise a maximum number of private spaces (including open spaces) and create well-proportioned floor plans. The various individual structures are cleverly arranged on the grounds to form seven attractive courtyards with semi-public outdoor spaces and private gardens.
