1st place for BWM Architekten together with Pretterhofer Arquitectos: The team won the invited competition with its design for a residential housing project including 145 apartments. The new Quarter is the first city building block within the future science center Dresden Ost. The design is an interpretation and further development of the characteristic building structure of the Würfelhäuser (cube-shaped houses) in Dresden; linked point buildings frame free spaces creating differentiated outdoor spaces with different graduations of privacy.
