Our project harry's home Graz-Smart City has made it to the nominees for the ‘best serviced flat concept in Austria’ - congratulations to everyone involved! The winners will be announced on 9 April at the ‘SO!APART Austria Special’ congress in Vienna - we're keeping our fingers crossed!

All-round experience for the Expo
The exhibition rooms inside the Austrian Pavilion EXPO 2025 Osaka explore the question of how Austria can contribute to a liveable future. The spiral staff extends through all the rooms and invites visitors to learn about both the well-known and the lesser-known sides of Austria in a playful way and allows them to actively participate in the exhibition - in doing so, it underlines the Expo’s general theme.

MAYRLIFE Cooking School opened!
BWM are responsible for the remodeling of the premises in the existing Elisabeth House at the MARYLIFE Medical Heath Resort into a show kitchen/cooking school and greisslerei – celebrity chef Tim Raue came for the opening.

Preserving postwar architecture
Our declared aim for the architectural redesign and conversion of The Hoxton, Vienna was to treat the existing building with utmost care to preserve its original characteristics – e.g. such as the columns sheet-clad in fluted anodised aluminium in the two-storey lobby with original terrazzo flooring …

Open Funkhaus Days.
BWM have been commissioned by Rhomberg Bau to remodel the former Funkhaus radio building, which is a listed heritage site. On 25 and 26 March, the Funkhaus doors will be open to anyone wanting to peek at the future plans.

Visitor’s centre at the Vienna State Opera
We developed an open concept for a versatile, forward-looking visitor centre. A 20m-long table along the central axis of the hall provides structure for the various functions. The design is mindful of the original architecture dating back to the latter part of the 19th century and also takes into account the 1950s-style alterations made by architect Erich Boltenstern during the building’s reconstruction after World War II.

Postmoderne Elemente
BWM restored the large open space in the columned hall on the ground floor of Imperial Riding School, with different zones defined primarily through the placement of furniture and expansive glazing. The postmodern open staircase leading to the first floor and its individual stonemasonry details were left as they were.

Backstage on stage
The Hotel Am Konzerthaus MGallery Hotel Collection in Vienna is located in the immediate vicinity of such cultural institutions as the Akademietheater, Konzerthaus and Musikverein. This exclusive location provided the inspiration for the BWM design concept, “Backstage on stage” is its apt motto.
